This beginning acting class is taught by Brian Moore, an actor with over 10 years of experience in the industry. A love for performing in school plays and musicals was discovered by Brian in high school, and he went on to study theater in college before moving to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Numerous stage productions, independent films, and voice acting projects have featured him since then.
In this beginning acting class, the fundamentals of acting, including character development, script analysis, and scene work, will be covered. Exercises and improvisations will be used to help students connect with their emotions, develop their voice and movement, and build a strong foundation for their acting journeys. The approach taken by Brian is grounded in the techniques of Stanislavski and Meisner, but also incorporates elements of physical theater and improvisation into the teaching.
A supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their creativity and taking risks is created by Brian as an instructor. The joy of acting can be discovered by each student through Brian’s guidance and expertise. Fun and magic can be created together in the class!
