Auditions
Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble encourages both seasoned performers and those new to the stage to audition for our productions. Everyone is welcome, and will find a home on our stage. Note that performers are volunteers, and that all casting is non-union.
On this page, you'll find information about auditioning for our main stage productions. While some of our main stage shows do include opportunities for younger performers, if you are under 18, you'll also want to check audition & training opportunities available through our youth academy, as described below.
When audition dates are determined, we announce them here on this page. To learn about auditions as soon as they are announced, please complete our contact form and we will add you to our opt-in list.
Auditions for Main Stage Productions
Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble encourages all community members to participate in Ghostlight productions. We believe that local live theatre should provide a supportive environment for creative expression for people of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds. Every day, we work to ensure that Ghostlight is a safe, welcoming space where all members of our cast, creative team, production crew, volunteers and audience members can learn, grow, and create.
We are proactively working towards greater diversity within the cast of our shows. This is an on-going process, and we recognize that it is our responsibility to broaden our reach to ensure that BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community members are aware of upcoming auditions, and to ensure that they feel welcome to join our productions.
An Inclusive Community
Auditions for Youth and Teen Academy Productions
The Performing Arts Youth Academy is open to children and teens entering 2nd grade through entering 9th grade, and is geared towards students who already have performing arts experience and ability, but all interested students are encouraged to audition. Auditions for PAYA will be held in April/May. Students who would prefer to participate in our PAYA Technical Crew Academy don't need to audition. For more about PAYA, visit our Youth Academy page.
Our Teen Academy is open to current Freshmen, Sophomores, Junior, and Seniors. Auditions will be held in April/May. For more about the program, visit our Teen Academy page.
