2021-22 Season: 12 Angry Jurors
Adapted by Sherman L. Sergel
Based on the award-winning teleplay by Reginald Rose
This play was adapted from a 1954 teleplay, which was later produced as a feature film in 1957 called 12 Angry Men. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and starred Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb and Jack Klugman among others. The play was first staged in London, and finally came to Broadway in 2004. A more recent adaption of the play is 12 Angry Jurors, enabling theatre companies to have roles for more than one gender.
When the play opens, a 19-year old man has stood trial for murder. It looks like an open-and-shut case, until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. This classic of American dramatic literature will have you on the edge of your seat, so don't misse it! All attendees must comply with COVID protocols - for more info, see below.
